ALBAICÍN Neighborhood is known for its narrow steep streets which hide the “Carmenes”, huge white houses with high walls that hide richness inside them, some of which can be visited and some others are restaurants.

ALHAMBRA is so called because of its red walls (“qa´lat al-Hamara", Red Castle) settled at the top of Sabika Hill, east of the town, opposite the Albaicin and Alcazaba.
